Website Progress

Right now, I am feeling very confident about my website, the more skills I learn in class, the more I can envision how I want it to be.

Sight - Video Commentary

In the video "Sight", the filmmakers present a world in which everything is seen through an advanced product that allowed people to analyze and see society in a different way. At the beginning of the video, the product seemed amazing; it seemed to make everything much easier and provide a guideline for everyday activities. But it is not hard to see how dependent people became on this product.
I believe that this is something evident in our society as well. As more technology and innovations are being created, we as a society are moving away from traditional lifestyles and practices. This is not necessarily a bad thing, technology has allowed for more opportunities for research and a more comfortable lifestyle; however, it does have its drawbacks. Dependency and reliance on technology has taken away some important habits. For instance, communication is now almost always mediated. Many people lose the skill in talking to others face to face, hiding behind their computers or cell phones.
In regard to the video, while I do believe that the product is very efficient and handy, as with anything, we should be aware of our limits.

How do they compare with your top 3 websites?
Most of the websites I have selected for my top 3 list follow all the recommendations and tips from the sources above. The authors of these websites use those practices to keep their websites neat, easy to navigate, and efficient.

Top 3 Websites

My 3 Top Websites:
1) www.google.com - Google allows me to search or browse the web quickly and easily, organizing the search results in a way that allows me to find the one that best suits my interest. It is also easy to navigate and well-structured.

2) www.facebook.com - Facebook allows me to stay connect with friends and family. It offers suggestion based on information gathered from my current connections.

3) www.youtube.com- Youtube offers videos from various topics and interest from a wide range of channels.

One Example of a Bad Website:
1) www.wikipedia.com - It is not a credible source of information.
